Erin, is that actually true? I heard it as an anecdote told by Karl Pilkington on the Ricky Gervais show, but I thought (as had Ricky and everybody else) that it was simply too outlandish.

Years ago I saw a news clipping about a hippo in some Asian circus that forever changed the meaning of “Hungry Hungry Hippos” for me. There was a midget in the circus that was jumping on a trampoline, and he accidently flew off and right into the circus hippo’s mouth. At that moment the hippo was yawning, which caused him to swallow the poor little man whole. Fucked. Up.

I have to respectfully disagree with the D grade. I say A for the Hippo and his sneaky strategy. I mean, c’mon…can you imagine playing poker with this guy? Talk about your slow play.

I still remember when Bubbles the Hippo escaped from the Animal park and reeked havoc on the OC.

Quite the scandal because they shot the hippo, but hey would you hesitate to kill a serial killer? I think not…Hippos should be subject to the same rules.
